Maui

Bring coastal mornings, island food and open afternoons together beautifully.

Ocean days with an island perspective

Find your rhythm in Maui.

Maui works best when you choose a comfortable base and allow the island to unfold gradually. Begin with ocean views and easy meals, then add an Upcountry outing, a cultural experience or a guided activity that fits the group. South and West Maui offer different settings, so compare the actual neighborhood before choosing a room. Leave time to return to a favorite beach, support local restaurants and enjoy the company you came with. A rewarding stay values the place and its people as much as the scenery.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL

Good reasons to linger.

01

A coastal morning

Start with a relaxed walk and breakfast close to your base. Choose beach time around the day’s conditions and the needs of your group.

02

A taste of local Maui

Build an afternoon around a local restaurant or food experience. Ask about island ingredients and give yourself time to enjoy more than a quick stop.

03

Explore Upcountry at an easy pace

Consider a focused Upcountry outing for a different view of Maui. Select a few stops and check opening hours instead of trying to cover everything.

04

Learn from a cultural host

Look for a Hawaiian cultural experience led by knowledgeable hosts. Reserve separately and approach the visit with curiosity, respect and realistic expectations about what is included.

CHOOSE YOUR SETTING

Where to make your base.

Different places, different rhythms. Compare the exact location, access and room details when you choose your stay.

01

Wailea

Consider this South Maui area for a resort based holiday. Compare the room category, walking routes, beach access and the total cost of parking and dining.

02

Kīhei

Explore this South Maui base when everyday dining options and accommodation variety are priorities. Check the exact location and transport needs of each property.

03

Kāʻanapali and Kapalua

Compare these West Maui settings for your preferred coastal stay. Review current visitor guidance and realistic travel times before committing to activities elsewhere on the island.

LEAVE A LITTLE SPACE

Your days, at your pace.

Ideas to weave into your trip, with plenty of room between them. These are suggested experiences, not a booked itinerary.

Suggested start · Settle beside the coast

Keep the first day near the hotel, with an easy meal and time outside. Confirm transport and any reservations needed for later activities.

Suggested middle · Alternate exploring and resting

Place a guided outing or Upcountry day between slower beach days. Keep enough room for a local recommendation and a return visit to somewhere you enjoyed.

Suggested finish · Stay close and enjoy

Save the final full day for your own neighborhood. Revisit a favorite meal or shoreline and prepare for the airport drive without a packed final schedule.

A THOUGHTFUL DEPARTURE

A few things to know.

Getting there

Kahului Airport is Maui’s main gateway. Arrange a car, shuttle or private transfer suited to your chosen coast and planned outings. Check the hotel’s parking charges and current local access guidance, and give the arrival day room for the drive and settling in.

Thinking about timing

Maui’s warmer, generally drier period is roughly April to November, while winter brings a different pattern of rain and surf. Conditions also vary strongly by coast and elevation. Check ocean guidance each day, pack for any higher elevation outing and confirm current access before planning a specific site.

Before you confirm

  • Review current Maui visitor guidance, individual business opening information and access rules before choosing excursions or driving routes.
  • Include resort charges, parking, car rental and the exact meal arrangement when comparing package totals.
  • Check any required park reservations separately, and choose ocean activities around current conditions and the operator’s guidance.

Weather, schedules, trail access and provider policies can change. Check current details with the relevant official source and your chosen travel provider.
